The double beds convert into dinettes (4-seat at the rear, 3-seat at the front), and there is good storage space under both dinettes. In the galley, you find a 12 volt Engel fridge/freezer, two-burner gas stove, 19 litre silver microwave, and stainless sink with hot and cold water on tap. There are also storage cupboards, cutlery drawer, Formica counter, and cupboard for crockery and glasses. The luxurious bathroom has pull-out shower handle and hot-and-cold mixer, cassette Porta Potty, vanity basin with storage pedestal, shower caddy and pan, and a very important skylight.Their is ample storage space with overhead lockers, cupboards, wardrobe, bunks, and outside storage hatches.As for water, there is a 100 litre tank and 12 volt pump plus water-level indicator and a Hansen 220 volt electrical / gas geyser. On the electrical side, the Avalon comes with two deep-cycle batteries with charger and level indicator. The system runs 12 volt fluorescent lights, fridge, water system and geyser. There are two 4,5 kg gas bottles - one for the geyser, one for the stove. A 220 volt air-conditioner for cooling is also fitted.Extras include: Fiamma 4m crank-out awning with sides, Pull-out step, Fiamma mosquito net on door. Towbar. Fitted mattress in rear dinette area.

Engine conversion from air cooled to water cooled by Bence Engines in Pretoria.Toyota 2.2 4y watercooled engine, Due to blown head gasket top overhaul just competed and with fuel tank drained and acid cleaned total cost Rand 10,000. Now running perfect.Total Km on camper 145,000 or so.Total Km on engine about 60,000 mainly by myself.If ever in need of compete out of box Toyota 4y engines, I have just learnt that they are available for Rand 8,000 in Jo Burg. A company in South Korea makes these engines due to the large number in use worldwide.Fuel 12 LTR/100k .New tyres with heavy duty reinfroced tyres at the rear. No power steering - a slight disadvantage if using the camper in the city. But no problem for normal camping use.Rust around read right window and just above the tail gate needs attention at some stage, especially if based at the coast.220v mains plug in .Sleeps 2 (2 second pull out bed) .Hanging tend from Awning sleeps a further 2 persons.Hanging canvas tent enables complete enclosure and has clear windows with zip-up door.Ground sheet.2 ring gas hop.Fridge 3 way, Battery, Electric and Gas (I never used the Gas in 8 Years).Microwave.Sink water tap and tank ( I rarely use it).Under bunk storage.Plenty of storage overhead around all sides as you can see from the Photos. If fact, I think it the best designed camper I have ever seen from a storage and use point of view.Porta Potty (when placed between the front seats it has easy access at night time - very handy after a few camp fire beers and no need to go off to the ablutions block).Bike rack for 2 bikes that swivels out to allow access to engine for checking oil, taking out the hanging tent, chairs etc that are stored just above the engine compartment..Internal lighting both battery and mains.New Battery Feb 2010.No second battery - always used camp sites so no need for it..New bulbs are needed for parking light and some for the dash panel, which I will be fitting this week..Table can be used inside or outside. Hangs on the side of fridge when outside..Plug point at side door frame for outside lighting..Many unique features that must be seen to be appreciated..Fly screens for 2 side windown.Camper cover with side zip door ( I always use it when the camper is not in use)
